I am asking for your help this Christmas Season. Your kind donation of any amount can truly help a family with a great need.
Funds are needed for a Stem Cell Procedure ($2,200) for a Medical Alert dog, named Russell who is suffering from knee arthritis. Russell alerts to Gregory’s respiratory distress and equipment failure and is a constant companion to Gregory (noted above in the hospital bed) who is severely disabled. Can I kindly ask this Christmas Season if you might consider a gift of any size or a $20 donation used for Russell’s medical expenses.
All Donations to the 501c3 Kindred-Canines In Motion Inc. will be provided with a Tax Donation Receipt.
I met this family in my general practice 6 years ago. I learned that Betty, a Grandma of 73 yrs. old is caring for her severely disabled grandson (Gregory). Now, Betty herself has health concerns and will receive a pacemaker this December 26.
Russell is a Medical Alert dog who helps Betty and the in home aides when equipment is not working correctly, sometimes totally fails and he warns if Gregory has episodes of breathing difficulty. Gregory will soon be 23 years old and without Russell’s constant help living daily with his essential medical equipment is so very difficult.
I treated Russell over the past year with 2 separate Platelet Rich Plasma treatments (PRP) and NSAID medications. Russell suffers from knee arthritis and degenerative arthritis due to a cruciate ligament injury, like many of us experience. Russell has responded very well to his 2 previous PRP injections but is now experiencing some GI upsets on his medications would benefit best long term from a Stem Cell Treatment.
Stem cell therapy is not new. The technology has been available for almost 20 years. I would perform a short surgical procedure to harvest Russell’s own fat. The fat is then processed and later his own extracted Stem Cells will be injected back into Russell by an IV injection and into each of his arthritic knee joints. Russell’s unused portion of his Stem Cells would then be sent to the lab for Cryo-storage (frozen) for any future orthopedic or internal medicine needs. This is the emerging field of Regenerative Veterinary Medicine. I have had dozens of patients respond to this therapy and Russell would do wonderful as well. We just need some financial help to make this happen for Russell and his family.
Thank You and Merry Christmas!
